About the Artist
Hi! I'm Christy Johnson, a professional photographer located in Wake Forest, NC. I'm a wife & mom of two teenagers, bookworm, and recent pickleball addict.
I spent the last few years in a little cocoon, between the pandemic and a battle with leukemia. After losing my hair, gaining weight (and some new wrinkles), I didn't recognize the woman staring back at me in the mirror. I dove deep into self-compassion and acceptance, learning to love this strong, resilient body of mine, and growing my confidence and self-worth along the way.
But then, emerging from my cocoon back into the world, I felt invisible. Our culture places such little value on women "of a certain age", and yet here I am with more to offer than I ever have!
No matter the paths they've followed and the personal struggles they've faced, I've found so many women who relate to my experiences. You don't get to be our age without going through some things. We wear our battle scars proudly. And we deserve to not just be seen, but also valued. Celebrated.
I'm all about customizing a relaxed yet refined feminine portrait experience for you, crafting beautiful photographs that'll always bring you right back to this moment...a time when you pressed pause on all the noise and did something just for you.

The Studio
Located in the heart of Wake Forest, our cozy boutique studio is where all the magic happens! Here we have everything we need for beautiful, light-filled portrait and boudoir photography sessions, including space for hair and makeup, lots of fun wardrobe and accessories options for you, as well as the simple backdrops and props you see in my work. You can also check out sample albums, framing options, and other artwork to get ideas on how you'd like to display your finished photos. Come be pampered for a morning, and leave feeling on top of the world!

We'll chat before your session to discuss all the details of your photoshoot, including wardrobe ideas and your vision for your photos. I'll answer all your questions so you feel prepared, relaxed and ready!
TWO
We'll have a fun and relaxed experience together! Pamper yourself with an optional hair and makeup add-on, and then I'll guide you head to toe into flattering poses so you'll feel confident and at ease.
THREE
Your experience culminates in beautiful, custom artwork that serves as a daily reminder of just how beautiful and worthy you are, today and every day.
Session Retainer Fee | 250
Includes:
- access to client closet (dresses, robes, accessories, etc)
- pre-session consultation call to plan the details
- up to 2-hour private session at the studio
- posing guidance from head to toe throughout session
- professional, natural retouching of images
- photo reveal ordering appointment at the studio
Session fee does not include digital or printed images. You'll order a collection at your photo reveal ordering appointment.
