We’ll collaborate together on how you'd like to be photographed. We'll talk through outfit choices, colors, and personal touches to make your photos unique to you and your style.

Professional Hair & Makeup
A full pampering session so you can relax and feel radiant from the inside out. Go full-on glam or choose a natural look - it’s completely up to you. My artists are true professionals, experienced with a full range of hair types and skin tones.

Luxury Magazine-Style Photoshoot
You don’t need to have experience in front of the camera or be “photogenic” - that’s my job! I’ll guide you and pose you the whole way through. My clients leave their photoshoots feeling beautiful, confident, and truly seen.

An Exciting Photo Reveal Appointment
View the images we created together and select your favorites to keep forever! One digital image and matching print is included with your experience. Additional images and products are available for purchase, with popular portrait collections starting at $895.

An Invitation to the Gallery Exhibition
At the end of the project, all 40 women will be celebrated in a powerful community showcase that honors your strength, wisdom, and beauty. It promises to be an amazing experience!

WHY THIS PROJECT MATTERS

Hi! I’m Christy Johnson, and I’ve been a professional photographer for over 16 years, mostly maternity, newborn, and young families.

But this project? This has been a heart-calling for me.

The 40 Over 40 Project was born from my own experiences of what it means to grow, evolve, and reclaim beauty in midlife in a world that tells us that value is only found in youth.

I'm here to say that at age 51, I have more to offer the world than I ever have in my life, and I believe this to be true for other women over 40.

I created this space for women like you and me - women who’ve been through some things, who’ve shown up for others time and again, and who are finally ready to show up for ourselves.

You don’t need to lose ten pounds.
You don’t need to change who you are.

You just need to say yes.

This was my first time taking individual professional photos. I was drawn to the beautiful and intimate display of women who seemed unapologetic of their natural curves, scars, and sensuality.
