Hi! I'm Christy Johnson, a professional photographer located in Wake Forest, NC. I'm a wife & mom of two teenagers, bookworm, and recent pickleball addict.

I spent the last few years in a little cocoon, between the pandemic and a battle with leukemia. After losing my hair, gaining weight (and some new wrinkles), I didn't recognize the woman staring back at me in the mirror. I dove deep into self-compassion and acceptance, learning to love this strong, resilient body of mine, and growing my confidence and self-worth along the way.

But then, emerging from my cocoon back into the world, I felt invisible. Our culture places such little value on women "of a certain age", and yet here I am with more to offer than I ever have!

No matter the paths they've followed and the personal struggles they've faced, I've found so many women who relate to my experiences. You don't get to be our age without going through some things. We wear our battle scars proudly. And we deserve to not just be seen, but also valued. Celebrated.
